It’s World Teachers' Day on Sunday 5 October and what better way to celebrate than with a free trip to the zoo! We want you to experience the magic of a zoo visit exactly as your students would, and see first-hand how a trip to London Zoo can enrich your teaching and inspire your students.
This one-day-only event gives you the chance to explore the zoo, meet our Learning Team, and discover how a zoo trip can link directly to your curriculum - from role-play adventures in ZooTown for EYFS and KS1, to study days for A Level students, and so much in between!
Whether you’re planning a future visit or just curious about how we can support your teaching, this is your opportunity to experience the wonder of wildlife for yourself.
What to expect on the day
- Free entry for teachers so you can explore the zoo at your own pace
- 50% off entry for up to 4 guests so you can bring your friends and family too. Tickets available on the gate (not available online in advance)
- Meet our Learning Team to talk about how we can support your curriculum goals
- Find out about school visits, learning activities, our Education Access Scheme, and more
- Exclusive activities including previews of ZooTown, our brand-new, immersive role play experience for EYFS and KS1 (sign-up on arrival, subject to availability)
What you’ll need to access the offer
To qualify for free entry, you must be a teacher currently working at a school or college with a registered DfE number. Please bring one of the following forms of ID with you:
- A valid school or college photo ID badge
- A recent payslip or letter from your school confirming your employment (along with photo ID)
Please note: Although this offer is for teachers only because of its specific focus, we are also very aware of the dedication and hard work of a range of staff in educational settings, not just teachers, and would like you to know that we do offer year-round discount to school staff via Blue Light Card.
