Can you help us locate our two blue-throated macaws?

We are grateful to the people in our local communities who support us.

You might be able to assist us in the recovery of two lost birds by sharing information locally.

Two of our blue-throated macaws flew off during a routine flying exercise at the Zoo on Monday afternoon.

Our zookeepers have been out in the local area scanning the treetops and liaising with local groups to help locate them.

We expect the birds to stick together and stay high in the trees until they get hungry enough to come lower down to forage for food.

This might happen in the coming days, so we’re asking the local community to start keeping their eyes open for them.

If you are a member of a local online community group or forum, please consider downloading the social media notice below and posting it there.

If you do see the birds, please don’t approach or feed them – send a photograph and a location to [email protected] or call 0344 225 1826.
