Come and join our International Primate Day 2025 celebrations!
30 August - 1 September at London Zoo is the place to be to celebrate the incredible world of primates. We're home to over 20 primate species, from our 200kg silverback gorilla Kiburi all the way down to our miniscule mouse lemur Big Dave.
As primate populations face increasing pressures in the wild, we want to remind everyone what makes them so remarkable. From the incredible vocalisations of lemurs to the problem-solving abilities of gorillas, and everything in between, come and learn and experience everything primate! Learn about ZSL's conservation work to protect primates and how you can help.
Primate prizes to be won!
Can you match the hand to the primate? Test your knowledge with our quiz for the chance to win prizes! Meet our expert Primate Keepers for Q&A sessions, visit our talks, join us in making enrichment, and take a look at some of our amazing artefacts which we'll bring out just for this special event.
Best of all, by visiting us for International Primate Day, you will be supporting ZSL's conservation work.
