Dinosaur Evolution

Step back 66 million years - journey through the final chapter of the age of dinosaurs, a thrilling immersive experience that brings the Cretaceous world to life.  Witness feathered raptors on the hunt, armoured giants defending their turf, and the mighty T-Rex at the top of the food chain. Experience the awe-inspiring, perilous trek of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes as they traverse East Africa's wide open grasslands in search of fresh grazing lands and water.

See them brave stalking predators like lions and crocodiles, and overcome the elements in their continuous circular journey across the savannah terrain, from the Maasai Mara river in Kenya to the majestic landscape of Tanzania's Serengeti.

Gorilla Trek

Be Transported - Journey to the volcanic peaks of Rwanda and trek 10,000 feet into the heart of central Africa, where you'll come face-to-face with an extraordinary family of mountain gorillas.

Led by renowned primatologist Dr. Tara Stoinski of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, you'll witness their unique dynamics, including intense silverback rivalries, as you learn about these critically endangered animals and the vital conservation efforts to save the last thousand mountain gorillas in the wild.

Save Our Oceans - This inspiring animated educational story sees you follow along with a young seafarer's underwater adventure. While out in his fishing boat, he drops something overboard and dives in to retrieve it. 

Join him as he ventures beneath the waves, discovering the hidden habitats and wonders of the ocean. You'll befriend fish, dodge danger and even meet a mermaid - but the more you explore, the more you uncover the issues and damage that pollution is causing to this beautiful underwater ecosystem.

How long is each VR Experience?

Each VR Experience lasts for approximately 7 minutes. 

Where can I find the VR Experience at London Zoo?

The VR Experience Pods are located in the Barclay Court area of the Zoo.

Do I need to pre-book a VR Experience?

There is no need to pre-book a VR Experience, you can pay on the day (card only).

How much does a VR Experience cost?
  • Standard adult ticket - £10
  • Standard child ticket - £8
  • Gold Member adult: £7.20
  • Gold Member child: £5.60
  • Additional VR Experience: £4 
Are there any restrictions in place?

Please be aware of the following restrictions before buying your ticket

  • Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Minimum height restriction of 90cm.
  • Maximum weight restriction of 21 stone.
  • No standing, 1 person per seat.
  • No umbrellas, cameras, jewellery or loose items, please tie long hair back.
  • This ride is not recommended for guests who suffer from or have suffered from photosensitive epilepsy.
  • No eating, drinking or smoking.
  • Appropriate clothing must be worn.
  • The headset must fit securely without use of hands.
  • Upper and lower body control is required. Guests must be able to sit upright without assistance. Guests must be able to transfer to the ride unaided or with the help of a carer.
  • Should you feel dizzy, disorientated or ill during any part of the ride, remove the VR headset and wait until the ride has finished before dismounting.
  • This ride is not recommended for guests with back and neck problems, heart conditions, high blood pressure, broken limbs or pregnant guests.
