Adult VIPs get a sneak preview of ZooTown

13 October 2025

Yesterday we hosted a VIP preview of our brand-new immersive role-play space, ZooTown, here at London Zoo.

Dermot O’Leary and his wife Dee Koppang O’Leary were among some of the TV and Radio stars we welcomed to the Zoo to get a VIP preview of ZooTown ahead of its public opening later this week.

Rapper and television personality Marcel Somerville brought his son Roman to the ZooTown preview and the father-son duo had fun showing off their habitat building skills in the Construction Zone.

ZooTown – a mini zoo-within-a-zoo – features multiple themed role-play stations where children can try their hands at working for wildlife, including preparing meals for animals in the Keeper Kitchen, fighting germs in the science lab or tracking wild animals in the field conservation station.

Opening to the public on Saturday 18 October, tickets for the immersive role-play experience cost just £1 per child and booking opens three days ahead of each session.
