This Biology Week, we can bring ZSL's scientists to you!

Join us online from your classroom, and give your secondary school students the opportunity to meet a ZSL expert, free of charge.

These free, interactive, online chats run during Biology Week (October) and British Science Week (March) each year. We give your students the opportunity to meet experts from the Zoological Society of London, exploring careers in biological and conservation science.  Our scientists share their experiences and insights, and give your students the chance to ask their own questions.

SCHOOL SESSIONS FOR BIOLOGY WEEK 2024 ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED. WE STILL HAVE SOME SPACES FOR HOME EDUCATORS AVAILABLE - PLEASE SEE BELOW.

For further information, please email us at [email protected]. To be first in line to hear more about our upcoming events and activities, you can also sign up for our Education mailing list.

Further information

One online session can accommodate up to 40 students across a maximum of three classrooms. A maximum of four sessions may be booked per school across the date range. (Please note any bookings exceeding this limit will be cancelled).

Each session will be run via Microsoft Teams into a classroom. No other platforms are available. If students are calling in individually (e.g. from home), it is the responsibility of the facilitating teacher at school to adjust the settings on Teams accordingly to ensure students' personal details are not shared.

Once your ticket has been booked, we will send you further information about the scientist your class will be meeting, so that your students can prepare their questions in advance.

A key component of these sessions is the opportunity for your students to ask their own questions and ask what is important to them (whether that be careers advice, questions about conservation or whether fieldwork is as glamorous as it looks on TV!). Once you have made your booking, we will send you further information about the scientist your class will be meeting, so that your students can prepare their questions in advance.
