This British Science Week, we bring ZSL's scientists to you!

Join us online from your classroom, and give your secondary school students the opportunity to meet a ZSL expert, free of charge.

These free interactive, online chats, are run during Biology Week (October) and British Science Week (March) each year. We give your students the opportunity to meet experts from the Zoological Society of London, exploring careers in biological and conservation science.  Our scientists share their experiences and insights, and give your students the chance to ask their own questions.

BOOKINGS NOW OPEN

Sessions are up to 30 minutes long and are available from 11-15 March 2024. Bookings will close on Friday 1 March 2024.

One online session can accommodate up to 90 students across a maximum of three classrooms. A maximum of three sessions may be booked per school across the date range. (Please note any bookings exceeding this limit will be cancelled).

A key component of these sessions is the opportunity for your students to ask their own questions and ask what is important to them (whether that be careers advice, questions about conservation or whether fieldwork is as glamorous as it looks on TV!). Once you have made your booking, we will send you further information about the scientist your class will be meeting, so that your students can prepare their questions in advance.

Equipment you will need for this session

  • The necessary permissions to access a Microsoft Teams link in your classroom
  • An internet connection
  • Computer with microphone and speakers
  • A webcam
  • Interactive White Board or projector (or another way to display the picture in a classroom setting)
