The iconic West End musical is roaring into London Zoo with a showcase of masks, puppets and costumes in a fabulous special exhibition. Audiences can step inside the world of The Lion King with a rare chance to see items up close and learn about the craftsmanship and artistry behind the show’s designs.
Included in your London Zoo ticket, this exhibition allows you to immerse yourself in the Disney magic that has captivated audiences worldwide for over two decades.
Marvel at the intricate designs of Disney’s beloved The Lion King characters like Rafiki and Zazu, as well as the awe-inspiring masks of Mufasa, Simba and Nala.
You’ll also get to see other pieces featured in the musical, such as puppets, fabrics and other props - all painstakingly crafted by the artisans who continue to bring their skills to the West End production. It’s a rare opportunity to see these masterpieces away from the West End stage.

We'd love to welcome those on educational visits to the exhibition. Please consider the information below when planning on attending the Lion King exhibition.
- There are no booked time slots, and there is a strict capacity for the space. This means that you may need to queue or come back later if there is not space for your group.
- The smaller your group, the more likely you are to gain access to the exhibition due to the space limits.
- All students aged 16 or under must be accompanied by a supervising adult and must not enter the exhibition without them. Please see our supervision ratios here.
- The exhibition is located on our main lawn which is a popular area for picnics. Please be aware you may need to find alternate lunch spaces as the lawn may be full while it's capacity is reduced by the exhibition. Please find our 'school map' which includes lunch spaces here.
- The exhibition space could become hot in sunny weather and may be less suitable for those sensitive to this.
- The exhibition is open to all, but we mostly recommend it for Upper-KS2 and above who may gain the most from this exciting experience.
