Create. Communicate. Conserve.

Step into the world of wildlife storytelling and unleash your creative voice! Our Introduction to Nature Communications Course is an exciting five day immersion for young people aged 16–25 who want to inspire change through powerful media.

  • Dates: Monday 27 – Friday 31 July 2026
  • Times: 10:00–16:00 daily
  • Location: Community & Learning Hub, London Zoo, Regent’s Park, London NW1 4RY
  • Capacity: 12 places
  • Price: £350
  • One ticket covers the full week

From podcasting to video production, you’ll learn how conservation stories are crafted at an international wildlife charity like ZSL — then work collaboratively to produce your own. The week concludes with a special premiere, where your finished pieces will be showcased to communications experts from across ZSL, giving you a real world platform to shine.

Across the week at London Zoo, you’ll explore how stories shape public understanding of conservation—then learn how to create them yourself. Guided by expert educators and working in small groups, you’ll experiment with different media formats including:

  • Podcasts
  • Short form video content
  • News and campaign-style storytelling
  • Headlines, scripts, and storyboards

By the end of the course, you’ll have planned, produced, and edited your own piece of audio or visual content responding to a real creative brief, ready for its premiere.
