This May half term at London Zoo, step into the season with our Spring Family Festival.

From 27 May to 4 June, you and your family can celebrate the Zoo springing into life with an action-packed festival programme of animal talks, colourful arts and crafts, interactive gameshows, music, workshops and a whole host of other spring festivities to mark the season.

  • Spring Festival Hub
    Step into our colourful festival hub, nestled away in the centre of the Zoo, and experience spring in full bloom. Visit our festival tents where you’ll find plenty of fun for the whole family.
     
  • Tulip Tent
    Soak up the party atmosphere; dance your way into our family friendly music tent for plenty of fun and interactive games throughout the day! Can you guess who made the weird and wonderful sounds in our game of Animal Noise Bingo, or can you stand as still as a tiger in a game of Musical Animal Statues! 
  • Weekday talks in the Tulip Tent
    On weekdays throughout the half term week (29 May – 2 June), pop over to the Tulip Tent for daily talks from some wildlife TV presenters! At 1pm and 2.30pm each day, sit back and learn something new from one of these experts.

  • Lilac Lounge
    Little ones can head over to our Lilac Lounge to try out one of our wellbeing sessions. First up are baby sensory sessions~. Together, you’ll journey along a fictional riverbank to explore the sights, sounds, and textures of the natural world. Later you can join one of our family friendly mindfulness classes~ to connect on a deeper level with nature. Then, after a long day, sit back and relax at one of our special Story Time sessions.
    Gold members, Fellows and Patrons have priority access to baby sensory sessions at 11am and 2pm and mindfulness sessions at 11:30am and 1:30pm. 
     

  • Foxglove Fortress
    Kids 10+ will love our Foxglove Fortress where they can test out their bushcraft skills, learning how to make an animal-inspired shelter and how to identify animal tracks and trails. 
     
  • Daisy Den
    Release your inner designer in our arts and crafts tent! From colouring your own animal crown, to designing a beautiful butterfly, there’s plenty to get creative with. Plus, create and paint a beautiful pebble decoration to spread our conservation message far and wide.
     
  • Snowdrop Stop
    Give your feet a quick break and pull up a deck chair as you and the family enjoy music and interactive entertainment for all ages. Play dress up in our zoo shop*, get your face painted* and grab a tasty ice cream*.
     
  • Brand New Animal Talks
    Every day at 11am during the festival, we will uncover a new animal talk for you to visit. From towering giraffes to tiny insects, join one of these fascinating talks to learn all about the amazing animals at London Zoo.

Gold members, Fellows and Patrons have priority access to the following 15 minute sessions in the Lilac Lounge tent:

  • Baby sensory session – 11am and 2pm 
  • Mindfulness – 11.30am and 1.30pm

All sessions are on a first-come-first-served basis, so all visitors, including Gold members, Fellows and Patrons, are encouraged to secure their spot from the welcome desk just in front of the what’s on board at the main entrance on the day.

All Spring Family Festival at London Zoo activities are free with Zoo entry unless otherwise stated. This event is perfect for children of all ages.
