Things to do in London don't get better than Zoo Nights!

Zoo Nights is back at London Zoo for 2023!

As the sun goes down, join us after hours at London Zoo for an unmissable evening mixing wildlife and London city life.

From 9 June - 28 July, the Zoo will open from 6pm - 10pm every Friday, just for adults.

Zoo Nights is one of the best things to do in London - the most unmissable event of the summer, tickets are strictly limited so don’t hang about!

  • Due to the beaming sunshine forecast for 9 June, tickets are selling out fast for the first night. Book now to avoid disappointment.

With no kids in sight, explore our world of wildlife in the heart of the city at Zoo Nights - with fun talks and grown-up tours* – including the return of The Birds and Bees tour, where our expert guides will reveal what the animals really get up to as the sun sets and unravel the mysteries of sex in the animal kingdom.

Zoo Nights - brand new for 2023

Plus, brand new for 2023, test your skills against your friends in a variety of giant animal-themed games around the Zoo. Do you have the speed of a cheetah or the stealth of a tiger? The mind of an ape or the steadiness of a sloth? Compete against your friends and let the winner take to the podium in their rightful place as number one!

The zoo’s award-winning immersive role-play experience Vets in Action will see vets-in-training kitted out in lab coats and hair nets before helping to examine, diagnose and carry out treatments on soft toys - experiencing first-hand the clinical and conservation work of the conservation zoo’s vets, vet nurses and zookeepers.

London street food on a Friday night

When you’ve worked up an appetite exploring Zoo Nights, take your pick of street food vendors offering exciting flavours and unique dishes from around the globe, and grab a drink from one of our pop-up watering holes.

Why not make the evening extra special with our VIP champagne experience? Treat yourself and your plus one to a glass of bubbly overlooking our black and white flippered friends at Penguin Beach - perfect for a summer London date night.*

Please note: Our animals have varying bedtimes throughout the evening but most animals’ bedtimes at Zoo Nights will be from 9pm onwards. We strongly advise arriving with enough time to make the most of the evening and see our animals before they wind down for bed.

What others say

  • Cannot recommend this night enough! Had such an amazing time seeing all the animals (with no kids around!) and the atmosphere was great.
  • Food was excellent, atmosphere fun, loads of happy friendly people. Saw loads of animals before their bedtime and it was nice to wander around the zoo when some of the animals were a bit more active than they are in the daytime.
  • We absolutely loved the evening! It was such a refreshing change to visit a zoo without children. The atmosphere was so calm and peaceful, and everyone could enjoy the zoo, letting out their inner child. Excellent experience!
