Asim the Sumatran tiger sinks his teeth into Halloween at ZSL London Zoo, as animals across the iconic outdoor attraction celebrate the spookiest day of the year.

Keepers carved the creepy creation for the playful big cat, filling a traditional pumpkin with meaty snacks – and even adding tiger stripes to match.

Raw chicken wings are Asim's favourite

“They might not be everyone’s idea of a treat but raw chicken wings are definitely Asim’s favourite,” said zookeeper Lucy Reed. “We've seen lots of kids dressed up as tigers to visit the Zoo this week for our self-guided Halloween costume trail – so we decided to dress one of his pumpkins up as a tiger too!”

Other Zoo residents enjoyed the Halloween action too

Elsewhere, the Zoo’s Asian short-clawed otters, meerkats and other residents enjoyed the Halloween action too – foraging for their favourite foods in amongst the creepy carvings.
